Dear Rotarians,

What can be nicer than a normal Michigan Spring? We went from a week of 60 to 70 degree weather, to wet, windy, and cold. What is NOT cold is our spirit to help others. That never changes!

Thanks for everyone’s help on what we have achieved these past two plus years. Actually, I go back to the last six plus years when I became a Rotarian. Much has been achieved by Comstock Park Rotary over the 70 years of dynamic civic service provided. Our newer members are now a part of the 70 years and continuing service to our community and the world.

I would like to thank each of you for supporting and guiding me, making me a stronger individual and a better community member. This club has touched lives in many ways through our efforts and donations to people all over the world. Clean water, polio, humanitarian help, and sponsorships just name a few.

The Ukraine bracelets are the latest example. Thank you, Diane, for leading this effort. Those club members, who because of work and other situations have not been able to assist us in person, are with us in spirit. Let us continue to first support each other and next inspire our community with our actions.

June 9^th is the first BBQ, and in May I will have news from the Kent County Parks Department to share with you. Just a teaser, KC Parks is planning to thin or completely remove the brush and trees behind the train house at Dwight-Lydell Park. Charge your batteries, let’s go! Greg Madura, President
