President's Announcements:
District AGM was scheduled to be held last Tuesday tonight (031224) but was cancelled due to lacking a quorum. It has been rescheduled to next Tuesday night (101224) at 1730. An email will be sent with zoom details. All RCGG members are encouraged to log in.
Board Minutes have been sent out. Note RCGG has committed ($10,000 over two years) to supporting Geraldton Voluntary Tour Guides Assoc. Hugh is contacting all organisations affected by decisions made at Board meeting.
Our Christmas function doubles as a vocational visit. It will be at Ocean Air 96 Chapman Rd, Geraldton starting at 1730. Drinks provided. Please bring unwrapped gifts for under ten y.o's.

Bob Hall:
Sausage sizzle at Bunnings on 190125. Approximately 0900 – 1500 hrs.
Hugh Lavery suggests money raised could go to Blokehood project.
Bob also did a makeup at West Perth, the club his father belonged to.
Barry Dring:
There are still a few Rotary Christmas cakes available. Barry visited Con's Liquor who indicated they will take ten cartons next year.

Conclusion: We need plans and goals! We need existing members to assist and we need people (who can be outside of Rotary) to run projects.

President's Report - Hugh Lavery:
Australia’s worst naval disaster occurred on 19 November 1941 when HMAS Sydney II was lost following a battle with the German raider HSK KORMORAN, in the Indian Ocean off the Western Australian coast. Geraldton was the last port visited prior to her demise. The loss of the SYDNEY with its full war complement of 645 sailors remains etched in the nations psyche. The KORMORAN was also sunk, but 317 of its crew of 397 survived. The fate of the Sydney remained one of Australia’s greatest wartime mysteries until the location of the wreck in 2008.
