Looking to our future: Reimagining the Rotary Club of Perth

Over the past 90 years The Rotary Club of Perth has been a highly active and influential service club within the Perth community. As the Club moves toward its 100 year anniversary in 2027, and at a time when membership in service clubs is in global decline, it is timely that the Perth Club considers how it plans to position itself for the future.

The Rotary Club of Perth board has resolved to undertake a review the likes of which the Club has not previously engaged in, and has invited Rod Evans to assist in leading the development of this new plan.

At the Club luncheon on the 23rd March Rod will present an overview of the opportunities and challenges facing Rotary, a vision for Rotary in Perth, and a strategy for involving Club members and those outside Rotary in developing a plan for our club’s future. Rod’s presentation can be expected to be both controversial and inspiring. Members of all Rotary clubs and their guests are warmly welcomed to attend.

Rod Evans was recently re-inducted to the Rotary Club of Perth. He was a previous member of the Club from 1988 to 1997 and served as both Secretary and Vice President of the Club. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow recipient. Rod chairs the boards of a number of companies, and assists companies and other organisations to develop new and disruptive ideas through his business Ideas2Results. He is also currently completing a PhD at the Curtin Graduate School of Business where he is researching the role of company boards in creating breakthrough ideas in business.
