All one hundred wheelchairs, wheelchair parts, and walking aids are now on their way to Guatemala. On Tuesday morning, June 17th Leavenworth Rotary members Ed Baroch, Karl Reuther, Jim Willems, and David Larson along with Cashmere Rotary members and friends Ed Meyer, Aaron Bessonette, Joel Hoyer, and Terry Kane loaded a truck at Gil Gilyard's Cashmere warehouse. The shipment goes to Hope Haven International Ministries in Rock Valley, Iowa. In one of its seven or eight volunteer driven shops, the chairs will get re-built to like new condition before being sent by container shipping to points around the world.  Our collection, garnered primarily by Tony Banks and Ed Baroch, will be sent to Guatemala to enhance our already active contribution efforts to that part of the world.
