Greetings Fellow Rotarians:
WOW, what a fantastic program we had today with Captain Charles Moore. He certainly left us pondering the future and what might be done to stem the literal tide of plastic debris into our oceans worldwide. If you would like to read more about Captain Moore's work and that of the Algalita Marine Research Foundation, their web site address is www.algalita.org. At the end of the program, I also mentioned an organization dedicated to reducing the enormous amounts of plastic that are consumed. One product featured is sealable metal containers. They may be taken to restaurants and used as your "doggy bag". Their web site address is www.lifewithoutplastic.com.

ROTARY FOUNDATION MONTH
The month of November is Rotary Foundation Month. If you have not yet contributed at least $100 to the Foundation, this month would be a great time to do so. It would be wonderful if, once again, our club could achieve 100% giving to the Rotary Foundation.
The Rotary Foundation dinner is November 20 at the Pacific Inn Resort, White Rock, B.C.
