VINTAGE CARS, VINTAGE WINE, AND FELLOWSHIP
Last Sunday in partnership with the San Juan Car Club, we staged the annual San Juan Concours d' Elegance at San Juan Vineyards. Tom Kirchner chaired the committee and organized the help of twenty of our members to make for a successful event. Delicious wine was available from San Juan Vineyards and the Vineyard (Yvonne) donated all tasting fees for the day to Hospice as well. The event raised $1000 for Polio Plus and much more than that (final number coming) for Hospice San Juan Island.
Following the car show, Yvonne Swanberg hosted a great fellowship event at her home. There were brats, delicious side dishes, more luscious wine, and of course homemade vanilla ice cream along with several other luscious desserts.
BUDGET
Today, at the monthly Board meeting, the 2010-11 Budget was reviewed and finalized. A copy will be posted on our website for your review. Also, for your information, all Board meeting minutes are posted on our site as well.
DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISIT
Next week we will be visited by our District Governor, Wayne Wiebe who will be accompanied by Assistant District Governor Scott Dudley. We look forward to a full house of our members to meet and welcome District Governor Wayne.
