Many Thanks. As you know, Wednesday was the last meeting I will preside over as your President. I owe tremendous thanks, not just to the Board that supported my vision this year, but also to the long-time Rotarians who were always there to offer words of encouragement and suggestions. And to all of our members who overlooked my gaffes (unless I made a mistake on email, in which case I heard from all 78 of you), and occasional awkwardness at the podium. Your support of our efforts and enthusiasm about the good we do as a club and as Rotarians has inspired and delighted me. You are going to miss my colorful, lengthy and frequent emails – you know you will.
I am so looking forward to just serving on a committee and letting Bonnie take us into the next Rotary year. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
So come join us for the New Officer Installation Extravaganza is scheduled for Wednesday, June 27 at 5:30 PM in the Majestic Ballroom. Bonnie is planning a Scottish themed event and has a lot of fun surprises in store. The cost is $10 per person, heavy appetizers and cash bar. I understand there will also be entertainment! If you would like to attend and have not signed up, please let me know so we can be sure to have enough food to feed everybody.
