Anacortes Rotary names students of the month:
Three Anacortes High School (AHS) students recently were honored as students of the month by the Anacortes Rotary Club.

Cashel plans to attend community college and then is considering returning to Michigan for completion of a bachelor’s degree. He was nominated for the Rotary award for his integrity and kindness. His nominating teacher said: "Cashel is a hardworking, positive, respectful young man. Students look up to him because of his leadership and ability to work with others.”
Jade King, a junior, is on the AHS volleyball team and a member of the Link Crew. The Link program helps new students and incoming ninth graders get acquainted at AHS.  Her nominating instructor said: “Jade is an incredibly outgoing and consistently upbeat individual. She greets others warmly and walks through the halls with a friendly smile.” After graduation, Jade plans to attend a 4-year college. Her interests are math and organizational management.
AHS junior Gabriella Troy studies in the Applied Medical Science program at the Northwest Career and Technical Academy (NCTA), where she focuses on her interest in the medical field. Future plans include college studies in the medical field and enlistment in the military. Her principal cited her “positive and welcome presence in the Applied Medical Services program.”
