Rotary volunteers found more than Easter eggs this weekend in local parks. #literacy #funoutdoors
Happy Easter! Enjoy the weekend. Weather should be good to get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air.
Recent YAIL event attendees, Ashnoor Wadhera, Nimrat Cheema and Eshaan Tirumala, gave the Rotary Club of North Delta a spirited presentation about their experiences at YAIL (Youth Adventures In Leadership).  Their comments included a realization that leadership can consist of listening to others rather than talking and that it was possible to communicate with others without using a smart phone. The  students attend Seaquam Secondary, and were sponsored by  the Rotary Club of North Delta.

We are blessed to have so many strong, vibrant active female members in our club.

In collaboration with the Delta Literary Society, dedicated volunteers from the Rotary Club of North Delta have revitalized the Storybook Walk for the month of March.

Ms. Alex Atkinson, the Social Planning Coordinator for Delta, gave us a presentation on activities the City of Delta has initiated related to poverty reduction. She noted there are about 7,000 low-income residents in Delta and it is the 3rd highest location for the settlement of government assisted refugees coming into the province. More...
The Rotary Club of North Delta extends its commitment to food security beyond the Starfish Pack elementary school program to encompass adults and families in need within the community.  (Click to read more...)
THANK YOU!! The Shred-A-Thon was so successful we overloaded the truck and had to turn away many area residents who responded to our fundraising appeal. (Read more ...)
Phalak, Satbir, Raj and Lily (four new friends of Rotary) hosted several of the Rotary Club of North Delta executives to learn more about the good work we do in our community. PICS is a great organization and we'll be learning more about them in the weeks to come. In the meantime you can check out their web site at pics.bc.ca.
L-R: Neil Inglis, Joe DaSilva, Jon Marks, John Shepherd, Don Pateman, Deb Gottschald (Volunteer), Ruth Moro, Elgin Duke, Ann Charlton (Volunteer), Ammen Dhillon (Delta Foundation), Alan Seabrook.
The Rotary Club of North Delta is pleased to share that we've received a generous $4000 donation from the Delta Community Foundation. This funding will play an important role in supporting our Starfish Pack Program, ensuring no North Delta elementary school child starts their week hungry.  Click to read more:
Do you know of a High School student 15 to 17 years of age who would benefit from an opportunity to: utilize their new (undiscovered) leadership skills; create interpersonal bonds; embrace challenges; and learn the value of teamwork.  (Click here)
We are halfway through our Rotary year and yet we've already done so much: from installing books in the storywalk, to building what will become an environmental education play area at Huff Greenway, to preparing books and containers sent to Ukraine and Africa, to preparing meals for those in need at Crossroads United church, and the monumental task of providing over 230 packs of food a week for elementary children across North Delta. Thank you to our dedicated members and to the support from the Community we serve. Shawn Gold, President, Rotary Club of North Delta.

L - R Standing: Deborah Jones, Alan Seabrook, Peter McCaskill, Shawn Gold, Rob Bougie, Nav Kandola (Save-On-Foods Manager, Scottsdale Centre), Bill Ingles, Phil Toombs, Jon Marks, Don Pateman, Elgin Duke, Phil Weinstein, Susan Gage, David Brown.

L-R Seated: John Charlesworth, Lana Hart, Sandy Upton, Bonnie Sutherland.

Victory alert! The North Delta Rotary Club triumphs with a stunning delivery of 508 pairs of children's socks to the Delta Police Department in support of the Red & Blue Socks & Toy Drive!

The Tsawwassen Rotary Club issued a challenge to Ladner Rotary and the mighty North Delta Rotary Club to put our sock-collecting prowess to the test – can our club outdo theirs for bragging rights?

We left them in our footsteps. President Shawn Gold presented the socks to Constable Joe Da Silva at our regular Thursday lunch meeting.

This is the Season of Giving, and the North Delta Rotary Club expresses gratitude to the individuals and organizations that assist us in supporting numerous causes in our community through their generous contributions.  Click Here to read more....
