Scottsdale Save-On-Foods Has A New MEET Department.
North Delta Rotary Has A New Home.
Save-On-Foods has been a community partner of the North Delta Rotary Club for years. Today that relationship is stronger than ever as they host the new meeting venue for the club’s weekly meetings.
Just before Covid imposed restrictions on large gatherings, Save-On-Foods created a community meeting room within their grocery supermarket at the corner of 70th Avenue and 120th Street. It was exactly what was needed when the Rotary Club learned they could no longer meet at the Delta Golf Course due to new ownership and a revised dining area.
This is not the first move for the North Delta club since it’s inception in 1981. The first organizational meetings were held at Francine’s Restaurant , 84th & Scott. For a short time they new club met at the Royal Oak in the Kennedy Heights Shopping Centre. Occasionally, meetings were held at The Italian Touch, 95th & Scott. As the membership grew, Portofino’s was an easy choice for several year until the move to the Scottsdale Inn. Ironically, the land formerly occupied by the Inn is next door to their new meeting venue.
History is rewritten every day as dedicated North Delta Rotarians work to make our community and our world a better place. If you would like to join us, email ndrotaryclub@gmail.com for an invite and let us buy you lunch any Thursday at 12 noon from the well appointed Deli at Scottsdale Save-On-Foods.

I hope I got all of you. If not, please let me know.
We started early (9:45) and were able to complete our packing of Don's and Peter H's. cars and Neil's truck by 10:05. Neil and Peter M dropped off the barbecue at Sandrea and Tony's place, then Neil delivered the cabinets to Save-On where Don's and Peter H's cars were already unloaded. We quickly restocked the cabinets in the storage area we were given. We were essentially done by 10:30 and then sorted out some logistics with the Assistant Manager Binder.
