President opened the meeting at 6.30 pm on 23 November 2020 with a rousing singing of Advance Australia Fair as led by John Thornton OAM. The rendition scored a credible 8/10.

Anita Burke thanked everyone who assisted in the Market Stall at the Claremont Quarter, which was raising money for the Norkor Tep Womens Hospital in Cambodia, on Saturday. The effort comfortably raised in excess of $7,000, with some last-minute sales still to be finalised.

No Sergeant’s session this evening.
MENTEE PRESENTATIONS:
Kim Smith gave a briefing regarding the Rotary Global Citizenship Award Programme and explained its aims and a little about the programme. It was a 12-month programme with 18 Mentees shared over 3 clubs.
Kim then introduced each speaker in turn for their 5 min presentation.

The Mentees presentations were concise, well thought through and professionally presented. They impressed the Club with their youth, vitality and appreciation for the opportunities Rotary has provided to them.
In response to a question from the floor, they summarised their impression of Australia/Australians as having the following characteristic;
- Australian’s are extremely open and friendly.
- Australian’s always consider Safety First.
- We have a less hierarchical society.
- We have a progressive mindset.
Pres Anthony thanked all the Mentees for their Presentations and sharing a little about their lives and culture from their Countries. He wished them luck with their future plans and the rest of the Global Citizenship programme.
