QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
Q: What are the two types of Rotary Global Networking groups?
A: There are two types: Global Networking Groups and Rotary Fellowships and Rotarian Action Groups.

Any Rotarian who has news they would like to share regarding Family or Friends?
Bob Davis advised that he and Sue had kept chickens in their back yard since 1978. Sadly Chookie, the last one, has died. Bob, therefore, requested that no more scraps be donated.
Tim Humphries advised that he and his partner have now moved in together.
Wyn Jones advised that he has visited Faye English (widow of Brian). She is well and happily residing at Alfred Carson Nursing Home.

Club Service: (John Murdoch) – Members are encouraged to book for the Christmas Party to be held at The Weld Club on 6th December at 6.00 pm.
Community Service: (Anthony McGrath) – Anthony has handed out instructions and leaflets for delivery in early December.
International Service: (Michael Bissett) Anita Bourke thanked members who had attended the James Bond Movie Nights, which raised approximately $5000.
She also advised that The Claremont Quarter stall will be outside Coles on 4 December – volunteers needed on the day – for selling and also a raffle. Helpers are also required on Wednesday 24th for pricing at Anita’s house.

Membership and New Members: ( John Bolto) Committee meeting to be held on Wednesday at Little Way.
Environment: (John Bolto) – A few ideas to be shared.
Youth: ( Kim Smith) Kim advised that one application for RYLA has been received.
Bob Davis advised we donate $1500 pa each to Sailability and Fishability for the disabled unable to sail. He showed photos of the boat with him and the disabled onboard.
Other Announcements
Richard Ranshaw advised that the Christmas cakes are now in tins and suggested the cakes be put in the fridge prior to cutting, as this makes it easier.
SERGEANT’S SESSION: ( Jon Stewart )
Fines meted out by our Sergeant included;

Introduction of GUEST SPEAKER: John MacKinnon
John introduced David Beard – advising that he has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Psychology from the USA.
GUEST SPEAKER: David Beard - Some Life Lessons
David has been speaking on healing and wellbeing since the 1980s and has worked in aged care with the Churches of Christ Homes – now known as Bethany.
Life expectancy is increasing and there is a need to keep active and healthy for longer. He has written a book – “If Only I’d Known that I’d Live That Long”.
He stressed the importance of:
