GUEST SPEAKER:

Paul Napper –  a.k.a. ‘Dapper’ was introduced by Ray House.

Paul thanked the Club for the opportunity to tell his life story and asked if a translator may be required.

He was born in Dublin in 1982. At the age of 15 he was the Dublin Schoolboy Boxing Champion, which led him to start a fitness business. His mother served as a waitress to a Rotary Club for 20 years.

12 years ago he came to Australia and went to Sydney to learn to surf. He returned to Ireland but could not settle down, and after a year returned to Perth, where he met an Aussie girl. They now have a son.

One of his business ventures – personal development – saw him speaking to Harcourt's staff in West Perth. He was offered a job and introduced to Real Estate. He now specialises in the Mount Hawthorn/Leederville area.

Paul enjoys cycling, and covers 30-50km every second day.

Trevor Gorey recommended him to Rotary, where he believes he became the longest prospective member of RCD. Paul thanked all members for the warm welcome and fellowship, even if we couldn’t understand him.

He has been associated with the Victory Life Church for 8 years, and this has been a big influence on his life.

Paul will not be returning to Ireland until his son is older, and as he is giving 110% effort to his real estate business.

Paul was questioned about England’s chances in the World Cup.

Appreciation: President David thanked Paul for his talk and recited the definition of ‘Dapper’ from the dictionary.

In closing President, David recognised the Club’s sponsors, thanked the staff of NGC and Cupid Catering. A reminder to all members that next week’s dinner will be the last from Cupid Catering.

Meeting closed at 1930.
