Annual Business Lunch RPGC Rob Scott CEO Wesfarmers.
Rob Scott gave an excellent talk to some 260 guests. Most telling was that Wesfarmers Share Price is always within the values of sustainability and their values and not the be-all and end-all.

GUEST SPEAKER: Ben Caine - Energy Efficient Architect
An informative presentation about green housing or passive housing. Passive House (Passivhaus) is a standard or definition for efficient housing. A passive house needs 90% less Energy.
“Leanhaus” designs are built to a German standard and he funded the business when he found it incredibly difficult to build his own home as a passive home so realised others must feel the same.
Double brick homes are not solid and therefore very inefficient or poorly insulated as air escapes. Houses have no meaningful design for the sun orientation and therefore demand massive air conditioning.
Pres Jason thanked Ben for his interesting talk and presented him with a unique, very special Rotary Cake and a copy of the latest Rotary Down Under Magazine.
