Tim Humphry was pleased to announce the marriage of his middle daughter, the last of his three daughters to marry.
Craig James was at the MCG on Saturday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed himself. He expressed gratitude to John Murdoch who organised a 100 seat charter flight and specially flew over West Lakes rowing course for his benefit. John Murdoch advised members the surplus funds from the flight were donated to the Wirrapanda Foundation.
John Bolto announced the good news that his daughter Alex and son in law Antonio are returning to Australia as Antonio got his visa finally.

Charitable Trust: (Russell Hawkins/Tim Humphry): Tim announced the AGM of the trust will be held on the 19th November and a good roll-up is required in order to change the constitution to comply with the new legislation.
Russell also has good supplies of white wine.

Win Jones introduced Amy who is currently a Denmark Rotary Exchange student in Queensland some 30 years after her mother was the Denmark Exchange student at the Rotary Club of Dalkeith.
Amy introduced herself to the Dalkeith members and displayed some photos of her mother and other family members to the audience.
Win Jones, Barry Evans, Nigel Johnson, Ray House, John Lindquist, John Martin, John Mackinnon, Stuart McCoubrie, Bruce McGeorge, Ian Ritchie, Terry Rodgers and Neil Wilkie were all club members when Heidi Fris was the Dalkeith Rotary exchange student in 1988.
Win reminded members that while Heidi was at Dalkeith, she had acute appendicitis and Stuart McCoubrie performed the surgery.

John will be sending out an e-mail to members with tables booked for the Business Lunch to confirm numbers this week. He will also send parking details for the event this week.
Richard Ranshaw advised members that he is seeking orders for fruitcakes.

Peter advised a committee meeting would be held on Monday 15th October.
Foundation and International Service: (Peter Webb/David Smith): Anita Bourke advised the International committee is keen to organise a pre-screening at the Windsor to support Polio.
Membership: (Peter Panek/Lindsay Dry): Peter advised he is holding a new member’s BBQ at his place this Sunday.
Peter reminded members of the North Perth joint meeting Calcutta on the 5th November.

Kevin announced to members that the world premiere of “Much Ado About Something” had been an outstanding success playing twice as many shows as any previous Voiceworks Plus show.
Kevin also said that those Ballet aficionados who had attended Dracula had thoroughly enjoyed a great show at Majesty’s Theatre.
Ray House informed members that the club ran a Rotary International theme advertisement in the RPYC magazine, which had also editorialised Rotary Club of Dalkeith support for Sailability and Fishers with Disabilities.
Presidents Report:
President David reminded us to all discuss Rotary with our friends and invite them to attend a meeting at our Club.
John Saleeba is discussing with Ester Foundation for Dalkeith Rotary Club to have a BBQ in Kalamunda for members to see the new facilities established at St Emilies.

The club was awarded the Presidential citation for 2018 and President David congratulated PP Craig for his effort in preparing the application and organising the award.
Sergeant: Sergeant Trevor Gorey with Corporal Ray House
Fines were levied on Ballet attendees, Grand Final attendees, West Coast Eagles supporters, Collingwood supporters (only one), Dockers supporters who supported Collingwood (none confessed), the wine table, Tim Humphry for dowry relief, Bob Davis for first and fastest, Paul Napper for Club duty failure, President David for a delinquent phone, and Kent for allowing the display screen to beat him.
A collection of overseas travel tax was taken from the several returning members.
