ROTARY MOMENTS:
· Rotary Club of Batavia Coast - Geraldton – Clark Scarff spoke to us about his Club. It has 17 members in it. The Club has invested $20,000 in Kalbarri for its rebuilding after the cyclone destroyed most of the Kalbarri town.
· Subs in Schools Challenge – The Board has approved sponsorship of one of the five MLC teams in the Subs in Schools Challenge. This STEM programme challenges students to design, engineer and operate a fully functional Remotely Operated Vehicle, while producing an industry-standard engineering portfolio and professional trade display.
SECRET SERGEANT SESSION: The following members were fined by the Secret Sergeant:
· Bob Davis for being seen dancing the Charleston at the Commodore’s Ball at Royal Perth Yacht Club on Saturday night. (Oh wait, the Secret Sergeant misread her notes, he was not seen there, dancing or otherwise);
· Everyone who had some wine due to the Acting President’s generosity;
· Cancerians, Librans and Aquarians who had some seriously messed up horoscopes for Monday.
