Q: What is the Motto on WA’s Coat of Arms?
A: None, Poor old Steve Halbert didn’t know the answer, but he was supported by his table members who provided the answer in time for the Bottle of wine to be awarded to them.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS: Any Rotarians who have news of family and friends they would like to share.
Craig James advised that he was unable to make the last meeting due to celebrating his 70th Birthday with his family. To make amends for missing our weekly meeting, Craig provided a bottle of red wine for every table.
President Anthony advised that his daughter Courtney has commenced work as a vet with the Dalkeith Veterinary clinic.

TREASURER: All members have received their invoice for the annual Subscription and he asked that these be paid by the end of the month.

Should be 40 members & 1 guest and it turns out to be 39 + 1. Not a bad estimate.

Club Service: Committee meeting this Friday at 09:00 at Little Way Café on Broadway
Community Service: No report
Vocational Service:
Rotary Foundation and International Service: The committee is looking for support from the club for the music concert being promoted by Tony Chien.
The committee is commencing a new fundraising initiative and is seeking suitably sized jam jars which they will fill with Marmalade. Please bring your jars to the Monday meetings
Public Image: No report
Membership and New Members: John Bolto has carried out some analysis of our records and discovered that despite the Covid-19 pandemic we still managed a respectable attendance record which was only approximately 10% below last years figures.

Club Survey:
I have sent out a small survey to get some basic feedback on what we want to do as a Club in terms of Projects, Events and Fellowship. It would be great to get your thoughts.
Strategic Plan:
Over the next little while our Club Directors will be putting together our Strategic Plan for the Club for the Next Year. I hope to then present this to the Club at the Next Forum for any discussion / Comments.
RI Convention:
On the Rotary Website some great content from the Virtual Conference. I will bring some of this to you.
RDU Magazine:
July 2020 edition has been emailed to you. Some interesting article not least about our new RI President. If you have Not received it let me know.
SERGEANT’s Session: Graeme Sansom stepped in as Sergeant and was ably assisted by Stewart McCoubrie as Corporal.
Fines came thick and fast, in fact, Graeme had so many fines he didn’t even bother with the wine table (s)

Club Lawyers- because former high court Judge has lost his practising licence
All Dockers supporters because they are used to being punished
Russel Hawkins because Annie Hawkins won the footy tipping and is a better tipper than he is
Neil Wilkie for slumming it up at the Groper and his Wife restaurant with his own wife, June
All club members wearing coloured socks
Jason Van Straalen for not reading a story to his 10week old son tonight
Pek Goh, Brian English, Neil Wilkie and Bob Davis, all for being typecast by the Weld Club as being indulgent to some form of food addiction
Steve Halbert for the benefits he derives from increase insurance premiums
Neil Wilkie for living in a suburb opposing a new skate park
Wesley Old boys because their old school footy team was so badly beaten
Members with a replacement hip, initially no one owned up to this particular failing, but eventually, John Thornton managed to stand and confirm he actually had 2 replacement hips
Kent Warburton for spelling the Sergeants name incorrectly
All members without their dinner badge because they forgot to bring them back after the Weld Club dinner
Jon Stewart, for perpetually being in front of the camera
Nigel Johnson for swimming 1,000m then proceeding to play 9 holes of golf all in the same day, let alone the same week
Finally. All members who have failed to pay for their dinner tonight already.
The Guest Speaker was introduced by Tony Chien. Tony advised that;
Mr Trevor Fisher was WA Volunteer of the year 2019 but considers himself as just a boy from the bush.
Trevor has been in Rotary since the 1980’s and volunteering for almost 50 years.
Trevor was instrumental in establishing the
Busselton’s Men's Shed and many other things
Trevor advised that he was born in Kojonup on the family farm which he had to take over the running thereof as a young adult.
He was made a Life Member of the Kojonup Football club
He helped to build the Kojonup tennis courts and was made Life Member in 1996.
Other volunteer work includes the local Basketball Association, Miss and Mrs Australian Pageant committee and involvement with the local Netball association.
He won South of the River Bulletin award from Rotary
Was awarded a Paul Harris Fellows in 2002 and again in 2018
After retiring from the farm and releasing his son of the burden of taking over the farm, he retired to Busselton.
He was the organiser of the Australia Day celebrations for many years.
Helped with Sail into Life, an organisation which assists people with disabilities to sail.
Trevor helped to establish the Busselton Men's Shed. He sought and receive $340,000 worth of in-kind donations and $350,000 from Lotteries West, and outstanding effort.
The Men's Shed is 960 sq. m building which is used by many community clubs.
Trevor advised that he doesn’t do what he does for recognition, but because he wants to make people happy
