The Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, MetSO, is having a Gala concert at the Ball Room, Governor House on Sunday 27th February. The Governor is expected in attendance being the Patron.
This concert is a big deal (first time at a high profile location), Ann Bray, the new President has kindly requested help in running this event, essentially for our Club to provide 10 Rotarians for check-in at the gates and crowd management activities, free concert tickets and a light lunch will be provided to the magnificent 10 volunteers. A representative from our Club will also be included in the VIP party. The concert starts at 3 pm, the 10 Rotarians would need to be there earlier for an induction session so that we are familiar with the protocols. If you are happy to assist, please contact Tony Chien, so far, 4 Rotarians have raised their hands, thank you.
Attached is a preliminary Flyer for the event. Club members are encouraged to buy tickets online ASAP on a first-come best-dressed basis.
MetSO has made significant contributions to WA amateur musicians over the last 40 years, the Orchestra gives our budding young musicians opportunities to perform and encouragement in developing their musical careers.
Please come along and support MetSO in this enjoyable and rewarding afternoon concert in February.
