Q: What was Rotary's first community service project and where was it built?
A: It was a public comfort restroom installed in City Hall in Chicago, Illinois.

John Lindquist reported sadly that fellow Rotarian, Barry Evans, passed away this morning. Details on the funeral will be forthcoming
David Miller reports that they had a successful day selling Daffodils for the Cancer Council and thanked
Sue Watson, Michael Bissett, Peter Panek, Jill Elias, Ken Ilett, Nigel Johnson, and Bethwyn Miller for their efforts.

Well, it is all over for the home and away 2022 AFL season, and this competition, with the final round being won by Bruce Fiegert with a score of 9 wins and a margin of 40.
There were 6 other tippers with 9 wins. In best margin order they were:

Not much changed during the final round except that Ondina Brash just eclipsed Todd Honey for third place by two margin points. Paul Lambrecht and Win Jones also missed a third-place position by margin only. Well done to all of them.

Thank you, everyone, for taking part in the competition this year.
We had 58 entries, distributed $1820 in prizes, and raised $2240 for our club to allocate to Rotary projects. This will be augmented by my $300 second prize because, as administrator, I cannot accept a major prize; making a total raised of $2540.
The Rotary Club of Dalkeith thanks you for your support and we hope you will all join us for another competition next AFL season.

SPEAKER: (Philippe Cheung, Boubakar Coulibaly) – introduced by John Lindquist
Philippe and his Chef Boubakar gave us an informative and at times humorous summary of how they came to Perth, Australia, and why they work so well together at Café des Delices.
Situated at the Dalkeith Village Centre in Warratah Ave. they talked briefly about how they tackled Covid, and the need to innovate and sell their products through different avenues and means. They were excited about the future and their plans to expand.
During their talk, they both described how great it is to live in Perth after coming to Perth from France some 15 years ago.
