• Assisi Centre in Uganda – There is a lovely article in The Post this week about the kitchen funded as a collaboration between the Rotary Club, the Charitable Trust and a District Grant. This is a result of the hard work of Michael Bisset and thanks to Jason van Straalen for sending the article to the Post.

• Medicine sorting - Thanks to Anita Bourke for organising the sorting of medications last week at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and to volunteers who helped Anita, being Jill Elias, Craig James, John Lindquist, David Miller, Barbara and Richard Ranshaw. Anita then also thanked the volunteers and said the sorting was done in record time under an hour.
• MetSO concert – The President attended the outstanding MetSO concert in the Government House Ballroom on the previous day. A big thank you to the volunteers from the Club who helped including Anita Bourke, Fiona Johnson, Susie Rich and Susan Watson was appreciated.
• Volunteer commitments - A reminder of two volunteer commitments next week – the bicycle count is on Tuesday 4 March and the dinner preparation at Ronald McDonald House is on Wednesday 5 March.
ACTING SERGEANT SESSION: Acting Sergeant, Graeme Sansom, issued the following fines:
- The Wine Table including an extra $10 from mike Snell for being so infrequently here.
- Susan Watson for a letter to the paper.
- Anthony McGrath for wearing a pink tie at lunch at The Weld Club.
- Bruce Jeanes for entertaining three women at the Windsor Theatre.
- All gentlemen at the meeting wearing check patterned shirts.
- Bob Davis for completing his new shed on the farm to house all his Jaguars.
- Jock Laurie for attacking the Acting Sergeant at the bar.
- Craig James for cancelling the International Dinner because he could not get the dancing girls.
- David Miller for moonlighting as an electrician.
- Mike Bisset for skiing in Japan.

The President invited all the Committee Chairs to speak about the current activities of their Committee as part of providing members with a “State of the Nation”.
