An email has been sent with further details. Members are asked to send their donation of dinner and drinks fees to the Project Account, using their name and "POLIO" in the description line.

GUEST SPEAKER — TREVOR GOREY
Introduced by John Bolto
Trevor Gorey is currently the President of Men's Sheds WA. In this capacity, Trevor is working to establish Men's Sheds in the Kimberley.
The Men's Shed organisation is looking to establish sheds in remote communities that are often dry, isolated and in need of additional support for men. The objective is not to tell communities what to do, but rather to provide them with the tools — literally and figuratively — to take the initiative and establish Men's Sheds themselves.
The Men's Sheds would provide a refuge and support point for men experiencing difficulties. Trevor is working to establish a pilot program in two Kimberley communities.
Funding of $25,000 per annum is available for the initiative, which will be used to purchase materials and send trainers to the Kimberley.
Trevor spoke about participating in a Walk on Country with an Indigenous group. This provided an opportunity to share life experiences, build understanding and help break down barriers.
Trevor is seeking good-quality tools and equipment for donation, as well as trainers who are willing to travel to the Kimberley. Trainers with skills in areas such as metalwork, woodwork and beekeeping would be welcome, as would people with expertise in other practical areas.
We thank Trevor for sharing his vision for the development of Men's Sheds in the Kimberley.
