President Anthony welcomed Rotarians and guests to this special meeting in the Showgrounds Community Men’s Shed.  It has been a special project for the Rotary Club of Dalkeith because we have been intimately involved by way of some funds but more importantly by several members devoting a lot to time and energy to ensure its success. Particularly Trevor Gorey, Peter Panek and Michael Bisset. Well done gentlemen you have made a significant contribution to our community.

 

Tonight is an informal night to have a look around, sample the fare from the Men’s Shed Kitchen Group and have a couple of drinks.

 

I would like to invite Mike Wiggin, Showgrounds Community Men’s Shed President, to say a few things regarding the Men’s Shed.

 

Mike welcomed all Rotarians and friends to the Shed.

Mike explained how the Shed had become a fabulous community asset that is providing useful services to the community with the formation of the following groups active within the Shed;

 

Mike, then asked Vice President and Rotarian Peter Panek to say a few words.

Peter thanked those members of the Shed who had volunteered their time this evening to show the Rotarians around and explain the workings of the Shed to our Rotarians.  Thanks to Glen Shepherd, Les Gunn, Michael Sommerville-Brown who has prepared an audiovisual display for this evening and of course to Mike Wiggin.

Peter then invited all the Rotarians to partake of this evenings fare which has been laid out in the meeting room.

 

 Pres Anthony thanked Mike and invited everyone to enjoy the evening.
