Mediate First - Resolve disputes without litigation.   What is Mediation? The method is used to prevent expensive legal action. A confidential and cooperative problem-solving process that helps participants find their own solutions to a dispute with the assistance of a trained mediator.   Mediators facilitate the settlement of a dispute by using communication as a tool. The Mediators come without an opinion or a view.   Why use Mediation Voluntary. Quick and Efficient. Less stressful than litigation. Parties explore issues rather than maintain pre-determined positions. Parties’ own decisions.   Process- what to expect There are varying methods or approaches. Parties separated, parties in the same room, etc. The Mediator facilitates the resolution by clear communication taking into account the circumstances.
