The Rotary Club of Kowloon Golden Mile celebrated its Vocational Excellence Awards Night in grand style at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile’s Crystal Ballroom, shining a spotlight on Hong Kong’s unsung heroes. This year’s ceremony honored total of 85 exceptional professionals across vital sectors. Fifteen personnel from the Hong Kong Police Force, three representatives from Hong Kong Medical Services, and sixteen members of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department were formally recognized across multiple award categories during the ceremony.

This year, the annual event also extended commendations to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s Search and Rescue Team for their critical response to the March 28, 2025, earthquake in Myanmar. The interdisciplinary team comprised 41 personnel from the Fire Services Department, four officers from the Security Bureau, two specialists from the Immigration Department, and four medical professionals from the Hospital Authority.

Attended by government officials, civic leaders, Rotary members, and distinguished guests, the evening underscored the city’s collective gratitude to those who safeguard its resilience. Their remarkable efforts—spanning humanitarian missions, lifesaving rescues, and grassroots initiatives—embody the Rotary values of compassion, professionalism, and selflessness, often extending far beyond their official roles.

Launched in 2000 by Past President Nanu Lachman, the awards have now recognized over 550 individuals across two decades, evolving into a cornerstone event that celebrates service excellence. District Governor Nigel Lo echoed this sentiment, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to fostering a culture of altruism. The evening served as a powerful reminder of the impact individuals can make when driven by purpose—a testament to the Club’s enduring mission to inspire positive change and unity within the community.

九龍金域扶輪社年度頒獎晚宴 表彰社區英雄

九龍金域扶輪社（Rotary Club of Kowloon Golden Mile）於假日酒店金域麗晶殿隆重舉行職業卓越獎頒獎典禮 ，向香港各領域的無名英雄致敬。今年，共 85 位卓越專業人士獲得表彰，肯定他們對社會的傑出貢獻。

獲獎者包括香港警務處 15 名人員、香港醫療服務 3 名代表及香港消防處 16 名成員，他們在不同獎項類別中獲得正式表揚，以彰顯其卓越表現與奉獻精神。

此外，典禮特別向香港特別行政區搜救隊致敬，以表彰他們在2025 年 3 月 28 日緬甸地震救援行動中的重大貢獻。這支跨領域團隊由消防處 41 名人員 、保安局 4 名官員 、入境事務處 2 名專家及醫院管理局 4 名醫療專業人士組成，攜手執行救援任務，在災難中展現專業精神與無私奉獻。

頒獎晚宴雲集政府官員、社會領袖、扶輪社成員及尊貴嘉賓，共同向守護城市韌性的專業人士表達敬意。獲獎者的貢獻涵蓋人道救援、生命拯救及基層社區倡議，充分展現扶輪社提倡的同理心、專業精神與無私奉獻 。值得一提的是，他們的付出往往超越正式職責，進一步促進社會穩定與福祉。
