Please join President Maki, Fellow Rotarians and Guests for a Fellowship meeting to be held in B1 of the Golden Mile Hotel at the Loong Yuen Restaurant. University Scholarship Update We are very please to announce that an additional $20,000 was donated to the funds at Wednesday’s lunch by a very generous anonymous donor . Many thanks . Background As you may be aware the Club has a student scholarship program which awards a total of $100,000 each year to students entering University. The interviews are conducted by a panel consisting of PP CK , Rtn Brian and Rtn Vishal. The criteria is usually based on those with economic need and good academic achievement . Interviews have been conducted for this year and 5 students have been chosen and their names and details will be provided once they have passed their exams . They have also been invited to present at our lunch meeting. Appeal for a Room The panel has decided to offer a training session for all the applicants. CK will offer advice on University life , Brian will conduct a presentation / interview workshop and Vishal advice on how to dress well. We intend to conduct this in June and we are appealing to any member who has a meeting room to accommodate 15 for 3 hours to let us know. |
