First Meeting at Level 2 Covid
Not a bad attendance this week at 20 members, however, there was a shortfall in the expected number by the Burns Lodge of 6, so they were not that happy. Please remember if you are unable to attend then let John know in advance. This week John received a total of 6 members saying that they would not be in attendance (not 12).
The only change in format under covid is that we cannot stand and talk prior to the meal, yet can be seated and masks do not have to be worn if you have liquids. Meals were served to the table and we wore masks upon leaving.
Fraser took the group through the new format of the book sale and venue. The Bowling Club has been a great venue for prior sales, although looking forward, the ability to store/sort and sell in the one location is huge. In addition, we no longer have to worry about what happens to the remaining books as these can be trolleyed back to the onsite storage room and retained. Great work by Fraser and his team in securing Wingatui and the additional work in re advertising the change in date and location.
The club extends its condolences to Dave Brown on the loss of his mother last week.
