Here are some of the Clubs' activities that members have been involved with over the years ...
Assisted Constable Alan Elliot in forming a Teen Age Club in the old Turnbull's Bakery, Gordon Road.
Built the Noddy Train for use by other organisations in their fund raising, which had much use. Eventually we donated it to the Mosgiel Round Table, who still continue the community work.
In 1958 we set up and formed the Senior Citizens Club. For the first six months Rotary paid the rent of the fire Brigade Hall for their fortnightly meetings and provided afternoon tea.
Later Tommy Tomkins organised a toy making group at their Club. supplying all the materials. The toys were distributed to handicapped children.
During a growth period of Mosgiel reserve sections were provided by developers, and the Club provided and installed playing devices in some of these, for example Perth St, and Spey St.
