They start them young...
Membership remains a constant concern for Rotary clubs everywhere. While some clubs continue to attract new members with ease, others are finding it increasingly difficult as times and commitments change. The Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads, however, may have discovered part of the answer—start them young.  Malia Murray, (Donald and Margie's grand-daughter) regularly attends the club’s weekly meetings, although she sleeps through most of the meeting this could be a glimpse of Rotary’s future.

thank you K9MD
WOW - just WOW

What an amazing day and such a successful fundraiser, our very grateful thanks for everyone’s hard work and support for K9MD.

It was a true community day bringing everyone together from all walks of life to share the privilege of walking on Saddle Hill.

A receipt is attached for your records. Once again, our very grateful thanks.

Best wishes

Boxed up Left overs
At the last meeting the club trialled a new initiative to reduce food waste by offering members the opportunity to box up leftover food from the meal to take home. Once everyone had finished eating, boxed meals were made available, and members were invited to fill a container for $10 per box. The containers are a generous size, allowing a good amount of food to be packed in, making it well worth it for those who would enjoy the leftovers later. The system was self-service, giving members the freedom to choose what they would like, while also helping ensure that less food goes to waste.

Poppy Collection

The Mosgiel Rotary Club is seeking volunteers to assist with the Poppy Collection at Dunedin Airport from April 18–24. Shifts run between 1.00pm and 5.00pm, with convenient two-hour time slots available. This is a wonderful opportunity to support a meaningful cause and represent our club in the community.
If you’re able to help, please contact Merv — your time will make a real difference.
