Book Sale Review
A big thank you to everyone who helped at the book sale.  We are delighted to share that we raised a little more than last year!
 
The event was well supported, the opening queue was long with eager shoppers, who certainly got some bargains.
 
Having the Taieri College Cricket team helping set up was a tremendous help and breakdown support form Taieri College sports teams.
 
 

Taieri College Speech Competition

Monday 13th October we welcome Taieri College Students for our annual Speech Competition.
 
We will have 2 speakers; 
 
Jenny Petegem Thach, her topic is  "On grieving death and celebrating life".
 
Pyper Greer, her topic is "Project cars on Facebook marketplace".
 
Two very difference topics but thought provoking topics.

Rotary Park  Working Bee
We  are having our final planting day next Sunday, 12th Oct starting at 10am
 
There are 103 natives to plant and the holes for them have been dug today.
 
Weather forecast is for light showers but we are in a very sheltered below the carpark & old Quarry area.
 
Could you please circulate your club members today. 
 
The response we have had from the public to the project has been amazing – you can all be proud of a superb project promoting Rotary.
 

RYLA

Registrations for RYLA are now open.  
 
The RYLA Leadership Programme is a transformative I've-in experience designed to develop leadership, self awareness, and a sense of community in young people.  It's not just about learning leadership - it's about living it.  Participants are immersed in a dynamic, supportive environment where they are challenged, inspired, and empowered.
 
There are 2 RYLA courses
 
RYLA Christchurch. -January ages 18 - 25
 
RYLA Queenstown - 1-6 February ages 20-30
 
If you know of any young person that might be suitable or interested in the course please contact Donald Murray.
