What a wonderful night everyone involved had, at the Fashion Fiesta last Wednesday evening. With rave reviews and around $8000 raised for the pool project, everyone should be very happy with that outcome.

 

Jennifer Milburn had the brainwave several months ago that this would be a winner and something that she could do for the pool project. Assisted by Rotarians Barry Milburn, Peter Shanks and Danna Reeve who all recruited other helpers and supporters from the community. Everyone involved deserves a big thank you. This was a fantastic community-based event that really showed off the essence of the whole project.

With involvement from Taieri College Students through to more senior members of the community, businesses, individuals and organisations all put up their hands to help.

If  have been thinking that perhaps I can help at some time in the future to either empty bins or sort books  just ring Fraser 489 3365 and he will put your name on the list. Fraser is working a roster. As most of you will be aware Michael has had a new knee installed. John who is doing it all himself at present, will be away for a break, so there is some urgency for helpers now, but also throughout the year. We have 16 who can help at various times. on the list at present, But are you prepared to put your name on the list?
