Our Guest Speaker John Brieseman shared is experiences about his work in investigating serious crash accidents. John covered a variety of aspects of his role from initial assessments, measurements and what was potential cause of the accident from a mechanical perceptive.  The main message was watch your speed, always wear a seatbelt, don't get distracted or distract the driver, modern computer based cars have all the technology including being able to record the driver through inbuilt cameras.  A dash-cam is the best form of defence or information during an investigation should you require evident.

The Mosgiel Bus shelter and Clock was a Millennium project carried out by the Taieri and Mosgiel Rotary Clubs, and in later years the clock was gifted to the DCC. As the years have passed the bus shelter has seen better days and it now needs a revamp.  John Seddon has organised a working bee for Saturday 3rd May, 9am start to clean, scrap, sand and complete some light maintenance in preparation for the backing to be painted Rotary Blue, and installation of the Rotary Logo and new Sides to assist in providing some shelter from the any prevailing winds.

 

If you can assist please contact John or simply turn up at 9am on Saturday 3rd May ready to roll up your sleeves to help restore and revamp the Mosgiel Bus Shelter.
