The planting team, with help from other keen locals, and have now had three mornings working along the Silverstream bank. We are about halfway through the exercise with about 600 plants in the ground. The work involves digging holes, placing fertiliser pills in the hole, followed by the plants, maybe with some compost, placing a weed mat, and then a plastic shelter with 2 canes to protect the plants. The Rotary team are the guys involved in digging the holes.
