Trees that CountWhen anyone plants a tree it does give a great sense of satisfaction when you visit the site some time later and see they are alive and well established.
John, our "man of trees" visited the Sinclair Wetlands recently and found practically all the planted trees were doing well.
He also was delighted to see the site was being kept very tidy with no competing over growth.
Our speaker on Monday, Paul Pope acknowledged the importance and the value of the project. It appeared that he was unaware of how developed John's project was. It may be possible to get some financial assistance.The original condition of the site to be planted could be described as rather rough.
The plantings are a credit to all concerned and will look really good in a few years time when the school children are grown up and bring their own children to see the trees they propagated back in 2018.
