Our club sponsored Theressa Hill, a second year Otago PolyTech nursing student, to attend RYLA recently held in Queenstown. Where 32 young people participated in the event. Unsure and little apprehensive on what to expect at RYLA, Teresa was amazed, enthusiastic and delighted with the whole experience. One of the main projects they had to complete was to build a Lilliput Library, situated on Oregon Drive Queenstown. Through team development, bonding and growth Teresa's team constructed an amazing Lilliput Library along with a dog 'stick' library, including a plumbed in water bowl for the local community to enjoy. Although her father was a Rotarian she was thrilled to learn a lot about The Queenstown Club and the work Rotary does within our respective communities. She was so enthusiastic with her time, learning about Rotary and what she achieved whilst on RYLA, she has joined Rotaract.
