A Mosgiel Rotary Club event, all money raised going to the OTAGO YOUTH ADVENTURE TRUST
IT STARTED WITH A "BANG" from a shotgun fired into the air, then a slight delay, then a loud bang and they were away.

The weather was a mild, balmy Autumn evening with no wind that's "results4u" congratulations Irene great show. Event winners and times (see details below). With the run starting and finishing on the aircraft holding point, that distance on and off the 1900m, runways the total distance run or walked was four kilometres. Jonah Smith from Henley won in 12m 55secs clearly 45 secs. ahead of the second place runner. He was running at approx 20kms an hour. He finished as fresh as when he started (photo below) as Fraser carefully checked his time. He had taken the day off from milking his cows and that morning had run 32 Kms to keep fit.

After the run everyone had to be checked off the runway so that nobody remained in the airfield security area. Irene and her team taking back the tickets and handing out the rolled oats for breakfast. ![]() Fraser presented the prizes to the winners and everyone could buy a coffee and enjoy a sausage or burger donated by MTF south Dunedin.
