Otago Youth Adventure Trust - a request

Dear Presidents and Secretaries of the Rotary Clubs of Mosgiel, Taieri, Balclutha and Milton.
 
On behalf of the Otago Youth Adventure Trust I cordially invite your Clubs to join us at Tautuku on the weekend of 16/17 October for a joint Rotary Club working bee. 
 
The Youth Adventure Trust has enjoyed significant support from Rotary Clubs since the Trusts early days in the mid 1960’s and recently there has been some discussion about opportunities for further working bees.
 
A facility like Tautuku always has maintenance tasks needing attended to. Some of the jobs we would like to carry out include upgrade to walkways and steps in the confidence course, upgrade of a wharf, sanding and painting the lower portion of the steel frame at the climbing wall, cleaning windows etc.
 
The intention is the travel down later on Friday the 15th October so we are onsite Saturday morning to make the most of the day, spend Saturday night at Tautuku, continue work on Sunday morning and head home following lunch and clean up on Sunday. Some may need to work around other commitments and only be available for part of that time.
 
The Trust will supply the materials needed, e.g. timber, nails, paint etc. It would be helpful if Rotarians brought their own tools such as spades, hammer etc.
Health and Safety is important and we request that appropriate protective clothing is worn for the task being undertaken.
 
Attendees would need to bring their own bedding, towels etc, refreshments and food which we could coordinate depending on numbers.
Please indicate if your club is able to be part of this working bee and an approximate indication of numbers able to assist.
 
Club members, partners, friends and family are all welcome, we look forward to catching up and rekindling the Rotary link with Tautuku.
