Life member, Paul Harris Fellow, Rotarian Neil Buckley was honoured at being asked to cut the cake and propose a toast to absent friends on Monday night,. So fitting to celebrate the Club's 80th year of service to the  community of Mosgiel and to communities beyond and abroad.
Neil joined the club on the 11th of February back in 1952  that is just on 70 years ago, and until recently continued to be a  active member. That is for a greater part of the 80 years the club has existed.
The footprint of Neil is so prominent in this town, as his spare shoe sits high above our main street as a icon of Mosgiel. Like the butcher's bullock it could do with a bit of a polish.  His contribution to our club and Mosgiel is an example to us all.
Thanks Neil.
