A Common Thread - Dunedin's Shared Heritage

As one of Dunedin's recent immigrants to make this city my home, I am following a shared tradition of immigration that began in earnest in 1848 when the earliest European settlers arrived in Otago Harbour. They, along with countless other settlers after them, created a tangible legacy that has become my privilege to research, record and interpret through my work as a heritage consultant and Archaeologist here in Dunedin. This talk will highlight some of the interesting 'finds' - places, people and objects, that I have encountered in my everyday work across the city.
