"EARLY HEADS UP"
We have been invited to enjoy a day out and hopefully catch a fish or two, after or while, enjoying a BYO picnic lunch.
On Sunday December the 5th we are planning (subject to suitable weather), to leave Mosgiel about 9.30 am and travel to Oceania Gold Macraes Mine Trout Hachery. arriving about 11.30 via Middlemarch and Hyde.Steve Dixon our local Fish & Game officer, who manages the hatchery will be on hand to show us round the hatchery before lunch.
He will provide us all with fishing tackle and we can select a likely spot round the pond enjoy lunch and fish.
Steve will arrange a group licence for the day, we only need to provide our lunch so make it a family outing and bring the kids.
We will give more details nearer to time, and they may be refined and subject to change depending on numbers attending. Car pooling could be possible.
