More on the variety of talents put to good use ...
 
Built a floral arch outside the Borough Offices for the visit of the Queen Mother.  Local women's organisations decorated it with flowers.
 
Built floats for the local Festival processionals each year they were held in Mosgiel.  Our best was a large bridge with 4 piers,  Rotary's theme that year was "bridges of Friendship".
 
Assisted with the building and finishing of the extension of The Mosgiel Abilities Resource Centre in Green St.  The Club contributed $7 000 plus hundreds of hours of labour.
 
Prior to this we made alterations in the old Borough Offices for their use before the move to Green St.
 
Made alterations to and did painting and paper hanging at the Old Nurse's home for a week-stay residence for problem children.
 
Made alterations to Arahina House in Perth St, including painting and paperhanging.
