COVID 19

Yvonne Cunningham, Immediate Past President of the Taieri Club shifted this year to Bundaberg Australia with her husband Lindsay.

During the lockdown, Yvonne has put pen to paper and agreed to us sharing it on our page. It is interesting that Poetry has lost popularity over the years and yet it has been a form of writing that many over the centuries have used to convey their thoughts, feelings, doubts and hopes for the future.

Let's hope that this current situation instils a new love of poetry, both the writing and the reading of it as a way for all ages to express what they are feeling and share it with others.

Our Mosgiel Club Poetry nights were always well supported and enjoyed. Maybe we should put one on the programme once we are out of home Confinement.
