Ross Flett introduced the evening's speakers:

Simon Scott - Milton Junior Rugby
Simon has served 8 years as the Junior Club's president.  He acknowledged Rotary’s donation toward new jerseys sporting the Milton Rotary badge on the shoulder.  He emphasised that the Junior Club is run by volunteers, and that coaches, managers, etc. are increasingly difficult to find.  Another challenge is the fact that participating children's numbers vary from year to year.
Nonetheless, the club's contribution has meant that fees for the kids / families have been kept down, and will do for a long time.
Simon outlined that the Junior Club's goal is to keep as many kids involved and playing rugby as possible.  It’s vital for the community.

Millie Scott (Ross’ granddaughter) spoke about her trip to Vietnam Trip and Outward Bound experience
Millie thanked the club for their donation to support her to travel to Vietnam as part of a school group.  She described many adventures on the water and on the train.  Challenges included the weather, attempting to make purchases and getting good deals.  Food was interesting, although not necessarily recommended.  Millie shared a video, and said that a highlight of the trip was visiting Hanoi.

Outward Bound
Millie explained that the experience consisted of a 3 week course: Mind, Body & Soul.  This included a 3k run each day, sailing, tramping and learning about yourself.  She particularly enjoyed coasteering, which involved jumping around the rocks at the water's edge and in the ocean.  She divulged that 21 days without her phone was great after the first 2 days.  She was inspired to take part from hearing what it was like from others.  Millie is not sure what the next challenge is for her, but she’s keeping her eyes open.

Mark Anderson thanked the speakers
