Phil has worked in media but is currently a real estate agent. Phil outlined the vision Rotary International currently has. - create hope in the world, empowerment of women and girls, the continuation of support for the Polio Foundation and a focus on mental health.  Phil feels the joining of the Rotary Districts has been successful. He outlined his goals for the year.
   - have fun
   - be bold
   - creative to issues of membership
   - be flexible. ie bi weekly meetings and different types of membership

Phil explained how zone 8 which encompasses New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific need to raise $50 million annually for polio to match The Gates Foundation. Zone 8 have committed to a program " say no to domestic violence ". Phil encourages us to view his monthly vidieo, read the weekly mailout and follow his adventures on facebook.
