Ups and downs occur in business. Creative solutions to complex problems and a great deal of very hard work are necessary to resolve issues, make things work and ensure happy customers.

Steven Woodhead: Youth Adventure Trust Annual Report
-18 months since new wardens started at Berwick and Tautuku; both have improved conditions at the camps.

Berwick
-4 wheeler purchased at Berwick, as well as a mulcher
-kayak shed has been extended at the lake to allow kayaks to stay there rather than having to bring them back to camp
-contractors have repaired confidence course obstacles, still some work to be done
-steps have also undergone repair

Tautuku
Painting and kitchen install happening at Tautuku in hopes of being able to host more than one group there
-the old confidence course recently failed the safety audit and has largely been dismantled.  Work has been underway to build a new one.  Thanks to Andrew Haulage for equipment and transport.
-further options are being explored to make use of the existing track
-Calder Stewart are currently refurbishing the ablution blocks with financial support from a number of community groups / trusts

Reliable communication at both camps is an issue.  Starlink is available at Tautuku and has been arranged.  Spark satellite service is currently being tested at Berwick.  4 PLBs have been purchased with support from 2 community groups.

A $20000 donation has come in from a family trust, and this is likely to continue annually.

Youth Adventure Trust Rules and Policies have been reviewed and simplified.

Overall participation has been reduced slightly over the year, although bookings are healthy.  The 60th Anniversary of the Trust is approaching in 2028.

Steve McLay Tramping Club Report

MOVED that Steve McLay, Janine Dunlop, Suzie Bearman are members of the Milton Tramping Club - Moved from the chair / Seconded Jim Murdoch - passed

Club Rules and Policies have been reviewed and simplified.  In the past year, no helicopter evacs, next to no injuries have occurred.  The success of the Club is thanks to the work of a great number of volunteers - a fantastic team.
The old Toyota Hiace van has been replaced by a 2012 Ford Transit van for a reasonable price.  The new van offers better storage and safety features.
$90000 has been distributed by the club this year, which is a new record, and the club is looking forward to even more success in the coming year.

Suzie Bearman Milton Rotary Treasurer’s Report
Roughly $96000 has been distributed to the community this year.  Much of it supporting local youth.

Brendon Bearman Outgoing President’s Report
Thanks to everyone for their support throughout the year, particularly those involved with the tramping club.  We are very fortunate to be in the financial position we are in as a club.  It’s important to ensure money is given away, not stashed.
Thanks team for a good year.
