Milton Rotary Club

Presidents Message

We had the changeover on 22nd July 2024 at the Milton Country Club.  Great effort was made by most to dress up and have a bit of fun.
Robin Taylor wrapped up his Presidential Duties and thanked various people for the support he had received during his year in office.  He also thanked his Wife, Lonlea for the unwavering support over the last year.
I would like to thank Robin for his encouragement and support in placing me in this position.
The speaker for the evening is Bill McClure.

       Cheers Stan

Presidents annual report
It has been an honor & a privilege to be the Milton Rotary President for the last 12 months. I would like to thank everyone for their support. Especially secretary Kerry, treasurer Suzie, bulletin editor David, all the directors & my wife Ionela.

This year we gave grants to individuals & groups including.
Milton St Johns
Toko High netball & hockey
Milton Kindergarten
& NZ Ukrainian society

Our major project for the year was the Taylor Park project with the Lions for the CDC.
This raised 9.5K for the new Milton swimming pool on top of the 25k we had pledged last year.
I am pleased to hand over the reins to the very capable Stan Leishman. I am sure he will do a fantastic Job.

Thank you!

Cheers
Robin
Tramping Club Report
Steve McClay presented an annual up-date for the Tramping Club. Bookings are 80% full for the comming season. Staggering the booking openings has taken pressure off the booking site so the web-site has not crashed like last season. Having cordinators for each trip is working very well and spreading the work load. Last season went well resulting in a record profit. This has allowed a payment of $85,000 to be made to each organisation - Milton Rotary and The Otago Youth Adventure Trust.
