Stories
Notices
- Stan thanked Mel for the meal. Members discussed the option of continuing to have meetings at the Country Club and not return to the White Horse Inn. This was agreed by those present. Future meetings will be at the Milton Country Club.
- Stan reminded us that Milton Rotary still needs a President elect.
- Next meeting will be at the Balclutha Hub. Meet at 5.30 behind the Country Club.
- Luisa thanked the club for the warmth shown to her and the things done for the community.
Trip Reports
- Ross Flett reported on another successfull Borland Trip in very dry conditions.
- Ross Pringle reported that the Greenstone / Routeburn went well apart from Jennifer falling and injuring herself.
- Robbie lead a hot Clutha Gold Cycle Trail. They had one injury and had to relocate half the group to accomodation at the Beaumont Hotel due to the fire at the Roxborough Cinema.
- Robbie also was on the Stewart Island Trip and reported great weather and no problems.
- Steve Mclay had to go at short notice to the Glenorchy Adventure trip to replace a leader with a suspected broken ankle.
- Ross Flett who organises the South Coast trips may have to go to plan B as low river levels mean the jet boat cannot operate.

Caitlin Wilson
Jim Murdoch introduced his grand daughter Caitlin Wilson. Caitlin completed a design degree at Victoria University majoring in project management. Caitlin moved to London to gain experience and travel. She worked on several high end restaurant renovations that required preservation of significant Roman ruins discovered during constuction. After travel in Europe Caitlin travelled to Central and South America. First to  Chichen Itza - Mexico . Chichen Itza is one of the most significant and well-preserved ancient cities of the Maya civilization and is today a world heritage site. She then travelled to Peru and followed the Inca trail to Machu Piichu. She then visited  Salar de Uyuni (Bolivian Salt Flats) and the Atacama Desert. Caitlin next stop was Buenos Aires before visiting the Iguassu Falls. From Iguassu Falls Caitlin went to Brazil and the historic town of Paraty. Paraty is a historic colonial town on Brazil’s Costa Verde. From here she went to Ilha Grande a tropical island off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Then to Rio de Janeiro and finally Patagonia. Caitlin gave us a really fluent interesting talk about some of the history, architecture and food of the places she visited.
