After an invocation by Keith Olson, we presented a Christmas card, monetary gift and our best wishes to our caterer, Deanna Aasness and her husband Bill. Wally Cole introduced his wife, Marci, as his guest. We were entertained by the Fergus Falls High School Chamber Singers, consisting of nine boys and seven girls, under the direction of Dane Froiland with Lisa Hintz on piano. They sang My Grown-Up Christmas List and Carol of the Bells. After they left, we had a Rotary Minute Plus math quiz with The Twelve Days of Christmas as the common denominator (but there was no division). Only one out of three questions were guessed correctly, leaving much room for improvement next Christmas. Keith Olson received the award for best Christmas garb, posing as Santa with our guest singers above. Jamie Larson reported he had fun handing out candy while ringing Salvation Army bells, while Buzz Lundeen appreciated Brian Tjaden for showing up to take over the bell ringing duty a half hour early. Anthony Nordan was thankful for all those who have helped and donated to the Army. Pete Wasberg stated his appreciation for the 19 linesmen at Otter Tail Power who went to Stanley, Wisconsin to clean up after a terrible storm. Dave Johnson made a generous contribution in honor of his youngest daughter's 50th birthday. Keith Olson spoke his appreciation for his seven grandchildren and thanked all for contributing to a wonderful Rotary year. Steve Andrews was happy to have his wife home for a short time and noted that the day of our meeting was also his father's 101st birthday. Under the leadership of Keith Olson and Keith Melberg on the piano, those assembled then joined together in singing The Twelve Days of Christmas, O Little Town of Bethlehem, The First Noel, O How a Rose E'er Blooming, O Come All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World, The Christmas Song and Auld Lang Syne. We thank Keith and Keith for their efforts, bringing the calendar year to a fitting conclusion.
