New Teams for 2023-24 Rotary Year
Incoming President handed out the list of the new teams to arrange programs and handle set-up and take-down starting in July.  Team One, responsible for July, consists of Steve Andrews, Mark Bring, Wally Cole, Bonnie Denzel, Katie Johnson, Randy Kempfer and John MacFarlane.  Team Two will have August and on it are Tim Hunt, David Johnson, Jamie Larson, Deb Maertens, Mary Pettit, Matthew Schroeder, Tim Rogelstad and Scott Schroeder.  Everyone wants to know -- will they claim the name "Colonel Hunt and his Privates?"  Team Three will have September and is made up of Lois Josefson, Hal Leland, Lisa McFarland, Dean Monke, Laurel Nelson, Keith Olson, and Ryan Welle.  Team Four, with October, has on it Kathy Austvold, Ken Harty, Jacob Hexum, Steve Leitte, Buzz Lundeen, Bob Russell and Pete Wasberg.  It was not indicated if this same rotation will follow for succeeding months.

Lois Josefson offered our invocation.  President Ken reminded everyone that we only had that day and our meeting tomorrow to use up our brag and fine card, with new ones available to purchase for the 2023-24 year.  We then went into brags and fines and Zack was happy about the good response he received to the Rotary signs on his business' float for Summerfest.  Ryan Welle talked about the prior weekend's high school clay shooting tournament in Alexandria, which drew 8,200 participants and now holds the record as the largest shooting event in the world.  Fergus Falls participants did very well, with Ryan's son going 99 out of 100 and placing second on the day he participated.  Unfortunately, no one from town will make it to State, with only the top 100 in rankings invited; Ryan's son placed 157 out of a total of 11,000 high school participants -- congratulations to him and all his teammates!  Ryan's brag prompted Keith Olson to put in a good word for the Lakes Area Shooting Club and its phenomenal facilities and mention he shot 96 out of 100 the prior Wednesday.  As I understand it (Keith will correct me if I am wrong), anyone can show up after 4:00 on Wednesday afternoons and be able to participate.  Lois followed up commenting on how she had been driving through Alexandria a prior year and saw a throng of people at the shooting range and appreciated how it takes a group of people to successfully pull off such a gathering.

Members then drove over to Tag-Up to get a tour of that facility, with Kurk Werner the guide.
