Last Wednesday evening, September 24th, we gathered at Broadway Park under the Rotary picnic shelter on a picture-perfect evening for a Rotary picnic with Laly Parent, our Exchange Student from Belgium, the featured guest. Also present was Kim Konikow, Laly's first host parent. Steve Leitte was also honored on his 84th birthday, and we sang Happy Birthday to him and ate some birthday cake to commemorate the day with him. Brian Tjaden once again brought the grill and his cooking skills to the festivities, helped along by Danyelle, his spouse.  What we didn't achieve in attendance was more than made up by good food and conversation. Another picture of the group and that wraps things up! |
