A good number of Rotarians and their spouses gathered at Mabel Murphy's Easting & Drinking Establishment the evening of December 18th to enjoy each other's company, recognize Multiple Paul Harris Fellows present and participate in a fun White Elephant exchange. The gathering was casual, comfortable and could only have been made more complete if we had been joined by more club members. President Katie Johnson gave appropriate direction to the evening and we appreciate her continuing efforts on our behalf. This writer made multiple Paul Harris Fellow presentations to Steve Leitte, achieving the level of two sapphires, and Peter Wasberg, achieving the level of five sapphires. Congratulations and thank you for your continuing support of The Rotary Foundation! When it came to the White Elephant Exchange, adroitly handled by Lisa McFarland, our Exchange Student Cane Musse was the one who opened the most gifts as people kept trading her for what she had received. Steve Leitte came away with a Rotary hard hat he can wear when tending to the tilling of Lake Region's Community Garden. |
